Mesirow Financial's Olga Camargo appointed to the Illinois Bankers Association Emerging Markets Advisory Committee

CHICAGO, July 20, 2007 — Olga Camargo, director of economic communications at Mesirow Financial, was recently appointed to the Illinois Bankers Association (IBA) 2007-2008 Emerging Market Advisory Committee by IBA Chairman P. David Kuhl, Busey Bank, Urbana, Illinois.

As a member of the Committee, Camargo will assist Illinois financial institutions in serving Latino customers and communities, as well as other emerging and minority populations, and in attracting and informing Latinos and other emerging and minority populations about career opportunities in the banking industry.

At Mesirow Financial, Camargo works with the firm's Chief Economist, Diane Swonk to provide economic commentary to clients and the public at large. She also leads the firm's Hispanic community outreach initiative and provides expertise on Hispanic marketing and business development. As a second-generation Mexican immigrant and a U.S. born citizen, she is active in efforts to bring together the Chicago business community with its Mexican community counterpart.
