Bob Colehan is a Managing Director in Mesirow Currency Management. He is responsible for the group’s overlay and extended (global) markets portfolios within the Alpha & Macro strategies team.
Bob has more than 30 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Mesirow, Bob was a Senior Portfolio Manager at The Cambridge Strategy (TCS), which was acquired by Mesirow in 2018. Before working at TCS, he worked for UBS O’Connor’s Currency and Rates hedge fund where he traded G-14 and emerging markets foreign exchange and interest rate product in a systematic style. Prior to this, he ran UBS’ execution team in charge of pricing and trading a wide variety of instruments, as well as the day to day running of the business. In addition, he’s held multiple positions at HSBC Futures, First Chicago Futures and Brown Shipley Merchant Bank.
Bob earned a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in economics from the City of London Polytechnic in 1983. In 1984, he served as a commissioned officer from the Royal Air Force College, Cranwell before training as a jet fighter pilot.
