CHICAGO, October 15, 2025 – Mesirow, an independent, employee-owned financial services firm, today announced the appointment of Simon Moore as Senior Managing Director and Head of Asia Fixed Income within Mesirow Institutional Sales and Trading. In this role, Moore will lead the advancement of Mesirow’s Asia strategy, build a dedicated team, and strengthen the firm’s presence in key financial hubs while expanding client relationships across the region.

With more than 20 years of experience, Moore has held senior leadership roles at Credit Suisse, Standard Chartered Bank and Barclays, where he built and led both research and credit sales teams. He was most recently the Head of Asia Credit Sales at Barclays in Singapore, from 2015 to late 2024. He brings strong capabilities across fixed income, in both hard and local currency debt, and has a proven track record of building top tier franchises. Moore began his career in credit research and strategy, first in New York and then in Hong Kong as Head of Asia Credit Strategy for Credit Suisse.

Moore's deep client relationships will play a central role in expanding Mesirow's Asian market access, by establishing regional trading operations and building cross-border distribution networks. Accessing Asian markets is a key next step for Mesirow, given its strong offering across fixed income products.

Moore has a BA in International Studies from Emory University and an MBA in Finance from the University of Michigan. Prior to business school, he was an award-winning journalist for CNN and NBC News.
