Lee Garrison is a Managing Director in Public Finance at Mesirow. Based in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, he provides investment banking services to clients across the Southeast and nationwide, specializing in tax-exempt and taxable financings for municipalities, higher education institutions, utilities, healthcare providers, and other public entities.

Lee transitioned to investment banking in 2020 after a successful 20-year career in insurance and has since served as lead manager on hundreds of millions in par value. His experience is complemented by decades of public service, including four terms on the Tuscaloosa City Council as finance chair and later as Chair of the Tuscaloosa City Board of Education, where he led a $250 million strategic plan for education and infrastructure.

He remains active in his community through board service with the West Alabama Chamber of Commerce and has held leadership roles with organizations including the Business Council of Alabama, United Way of West Alabama Campaign Cabinet, Black Warrior Council of the Boy Scouts, American Red Cross West Alabama Chapter, Visit Tuscaloosa, Black Warrior Solid Waste Disposal Authority, and the Boys and Girls Clubs of West Alabama.

Lee earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Alabama with concentrations in finance and real estate and holds FINRA Series 7, 52, and 63 licenses.
