James Lisko is a Senior Managing Director and Portfolio Manager in Mesirow High Yield Management. He is responsible for overseeing portfolio management, investment strategy and credit research specializing in cable/satellite, chemical (specialty), food and beverage, gaming, media entertainment, paper and packaging, service and telecommunications industries for the high yield strategies.

James has more than 25 years of investment management experience. Prior to joining Mesirow in 2017, he was a Senior Vice President at Pacific Income Advisers. Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager at Grandview Capital, Portfolio Manager at JPBT Advisors, Senior Analyst at Western Asset Management and SunAmerica Investments, and a Director of Research at Papillon Partners.

James earned joint undergraduate degrees in finance and accounting from Ohio State and an Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami.
