Kory Kirshenbaum is a Managing Director and Head of Research & Trading within Mesirow Currency. He leads the firm’s research agenda and the development of data-driven investment strategies, overseeing the design of quantitative models, analytics, and systematic processes that support trading and portfolio decisions. In addition, Kory manages the trading team responsible for executing transactions on behalf of institutional clients, ensuring a disciplined and efficient approach across portfolios.
Kory has 18 years of experience. Prior to joining Mesirow, he was a Currency Trader at Russell Investments and an Analytics Analyst at BNY Mellon.
Kory earned a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from the University of Washington and a Master of Information and Data Science from the University of California, Berkeley, where he was part of the team that received the Hal R. Varian MIDS Capstone Award for developing deep learning models to generate up-to-date, high-resolution ground-level estimates of nitrogen dioxide pollution.
