Michael Coutré is a Managing Director in Mesirow Strategic Fixed Income Management. He is the Director of Credit Research and is responsible for managing the corporate bond team.

Michael has more than 25 years of credit experience covering both investment grade and high-yield companies. Prior to joining Mesirow in 2005, he held senior analyst positions at Allstate Investments, Loomis Sayles and Van Kampen Investments. Before that, he served as an Analyst at Duff & Phelps Credit Rating Company (now Fitch Ratings).

Michael earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Iowa and an Master of Business Administration from DePaul University. He is a CFA® charterholder and a member of the CFA Society of Chicago.
