CHICAGO, March 21, 2022 – Mesirow, an independent, employee-owned financial services firm, has announced it acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Safran S.A. (“Safran”), a global tier-one supplier of systems and equipment to the aviation, defense, and space markets, on the sale of its subsidiary, Safran Ventilation Systems Oklahoma, Inc. (“Safran Ventilation Systems” or the “Company”), to Arcline Investment Management (“Arcline”), a growth-oriented private equity firm.
Safran Ventilation Systems is a preeminent developer, manufacturer, and supplier of integrated ECS and related components for the aviation industry. Based in Seminole, OK, the Company boasts a state-of-the-art facility and a heritage of innovation, offering a robust portfolio of propriety products for some of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the world. Founded in 1979 as a supplier of vapor cycle air conditioning components for business aircraft, the Company was acquired by Zodiac Aerospace in 2014 in a sale advised by Mesirow. The sale of Safran Ventilation Systems to Arcline serves as a continuation of Safran’s ongoing portfolio optimization efforts, following the acquisition of Zodiac Aerospace in 2018 and sale of Base2 in 2019.
