Carrie Murphy is Senior Vice President and Head of Middle Office at Mesirow. In this role, she oversees the team responsible for delivering trading and operational support to the firm’s Wealth Management investment professionals.

Carrie joined Mesirow in 2008 and has since held a variety of roles within the middle office, gaining broad experience across operational processes and building the expertise that underpins her leadership today. Prior to Mesirow, she served as Portfolio Administrator for a founding partner of Segall Bryant & Hamill, a Chicago-based private investment firm.

In addition to her professional responsibilities, Carrie is actively engaged in community service. She supports Almost Home, a Chicago organization dedicated to assisting the needy and homeless, and volunteers with the Ronald McDonald House, where she helps prepare meals for families and their children undergoing extended hospital stays.

Carrie earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Sociology from Monmouth College, where she also served as captain of the collegiate soccer team. She additionally holds her FINRA Series 99 license.
