John Evans is a Vice President in the Public Finance group at Mesirow. He specializes in transaction execution, deal structuring, and quantitative analysis for municipal bond issuers across the country. His expertise includes new money financings, refunding and restructuring strategies, and primary market disclosure. John has supported transactions throughout the United States, delivering credit analysis and tailored financing solutions for a wide range of clients.

Prior to joining Mesirow in 2025, John worked in the Public Finance group at B.C. Ziegler & Co., where he focused on developing and modeling financings for Not-for-Profit issuers, with an emphasis on higher education borrowers. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from The Ohio State University and holds FINRA Series SIE, 52, and 79 licenses.
