
Kemp DeMarais is a Vice President in Public Finance at Mesirow. He is responsible for structuring and underwriting municipal bond financings, providing optimal solutions for issuers across the country. His experience includes working with city general obligation and utility credits, sales tax and revenue-backed issuers, housing authorities, transportation agencies, as well as high-yield and healthcare borrowers.
Kemp has nearly a decade of investment banking experience assisting municipalities and nonprofit organizations with financial planning, debt management, and transaction execution. He focuses on supporting bankers who cover clients nationwide, helping to deliver innovative financing strategies and successful market outcomes.
Kemp earned a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics at the University of Illinois-Champaign and holds FINRA Series 7, 52, 63, and 79 licenses.
