Sunny Nikam is a Senior Vice President in Mesirow’s Credit Tenant Lease and Structured Debt Products group. He is responsible for delivering structured private credit solutions that facilitate the acquisition, construction or recapitalization of cash-flowing assets.
Sunny specializes in structuring private asset-backed securitizations and has financed a broad spectrum of collateral types, ranging from renewable energy projects to financial contract receivables. He also supports the team’s advisory efforts on high leverage CTL financing for investment grade, single tenant commercial real estate.
Prior to joining Mesirow, Sunny was a private credit investor at Nuveen LLC, where he served as a Senior Associate across multiple investment teams. During his tenure at Nuveen, he deployed $8.0 billion of capital across over 130 investments and played an active role in fundraising efforts for third-party capital.
Sunny received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics at Rutgers University.
