Katsuya Fukushima is a Managing Director in Mesirow’s Capital Formation and Currency Solutions group based in Tokyo, Japan. He is responsible for the marketing and distribution of the firm’s private capital and currency capabilities to institutional investors and investment consultants across Japan. 

Prior to joining Mesirow in 2026, Katsuya served as Executive Director at the Mitsui & Co., Alternative Investments, where he led the Sales and Marketing Department. Before that, Katsuya was Head of Marketing at Man Group Japan. Katsuya also held the position of the Head of Japan Capital Introduction at UBS New York and Tokyo and was the Head of US Equity Sales at Merrill Lynch Japan. He began his career as a Proprietary Equity Trader at the Daiwa Securities Japan. 

Katsuya earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Structural Mechanics from Chiba University.
