Lance Bell is a Managing Director in Mesirow Investment Banking. He is responsible for developing key relationships, leading deal teams throughout the transaction process and providing advisory services on middle-market M&A assignments within the healthcare services sector.

Lance has more than 17 years of M&A advisory experience as an investment banker and corporate attorney. Clients have included privately-held/family-owned businesses, private equity firms and publicly-traded companies.

Prior to joining Mesirow in June 2021, he was a Managing Director at BRG Capital Advisors, the investment banking arm of Berkeley Research Group in Nashville, TN. Before that, Lance worked at Bailey Southwell & Co. as a Senior Vice President. He began his career as an M&A attorney at Frost Brown Todd in Louisville, KY. 

Lance has completed M&A transactions with an aggregate transaction value of over $2 billion. His focus within healthcare services includes behavioral healthcare, outpatient facilities, physician practices and outsourced services.

Lance currently serves on the Southeast Advisory Board of Youth About Business, an organization focused on fostering the development of business literacy and leadership skills in high school students.

Lance earned a Bachelor of Arts in accounting from Transylvania University, a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Vanderbilt University Law School and a Master of Business Administration with concentrations in finance, entrepreneurship and accounting from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds FINRA Series 7, Series 79 and 63 licenses.
