Rick Weil has more than 24 years of investment banking experience in the packaging sector. His clients include family businesses, private equity firms and large corporations. He has been involved in more than 200 M&A transactions in key sectors including film and flexible packaging, corrugated packaging, paperboard packaging, rigid plastic packaging, foodservice packaging, and packaging distribution, among others.

Prior to joining Mesirow in 2000, he was a Manager in the Ernst & Young Transaction Services Group in Chicago and worked in many roles of increasing responsibility at FERS, a boutique CPA firm headquartered in Chicago. Rick is a frequent speaker at packaging conferences and a regular guest on sector-specific podcasts, sharing insights on trends and developments in the market.

Rick earned a Bachelor of Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Emory University. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 79 licenses.
