Melanie Yermack is a Director in Mesirow Investment Banking. With a career spanning more than 15 years in M&A, she is responsible for leading the day-to-day transaction execution process and contributing to the group’s business development efforts in the paper, plastics and packaging sector.

Prior to joining Mesirow as an Investment Banking Associate in 2011, Melanie was a Manager in the Transaction Services division at PricewaterhouseCoopers, focusing on merger and acquisition advisory services.

Since joining the firm, Melanie has been involved in over 30 M&A transactions in the packaging sector, including among others:

- Sale of El Dorado Packaging to ProAmpac, a portfolio company of PPC Partners
- Sale of AWT Labels & Packaging, a portfolio company of Mason Wells, to Morgan Stanley Capital Partners
- Sale of Quad Graphics’ Omaha Packaging Plant to Graphic Packaging
- Sale of Vanguard Packaging to Dunes Point Capital, LP
- Sale of Proactive Packaging & Display to New Indy Containerboard
- Sale of PacTech to ProAmpac, a portfolio company of PPC Partners
- Sale of Fleetwood-Fibre Packaging to Golden West Packaging Group
- Sale of Ideal Box Company to Hood Container
- Sale of Pohlig Packaging, a portfolio company of WestRock, to Oliver Printing & Packaging Co.

In 2017, Melanie was named a winner of The M&A Advisor’s 8th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards in the Dealmaker category.

Melanie earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Illinois College of Business where she graduated with high honors. She holds a FINRA Series 79 license and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
